Water & Sanitation Incubation Programme (WSIP)

About WSIP:

The Water and Sanitation Incubation Programme (WSIP) is organized by iceaddis in partnership with Aqua for All to provide expert support to selected market-oriented, early-stage water and sanitation small and medium enterprises in Ethiopia, The WSIP started with an open call, from May 17th, 2021 to 12 July 2021, during which more than 40 ventures that want to boost their potential through mentorship, expert and consultancy support, applied to join the program. After interviews and shortlisting, 9 ventures were selected to take part in the WSIP.

In order to provide business-focused support, the WSIP program collected information from the companies through various business diagnosis tools. These ventures have then been supported in different areas, mainly a business development support through mentorship and consultancy. Some of the companies received support to start new service products. Others just kicked off from the ground up.

Nazava’s WHO certified water filters have been serving over 55,000 people since it began operations in 2019. We work with health workers to deliver water filters that can process rain, well or tap water and store up to 16 liters.

Peace Micro finance

Established in 1990, Peace Micro Finance offers saving and credit access through its water purification apparatus loan. With over 9,500 clients across rural Ethiopia, we collaborate with companies that provide water filters to clients with a special attention to women.
